Carenation Organizes "Festive Concerts by Bangkok Charity Orchestra" to Celebrate Total Donations Reaching 20 Million Baht

14 DECEMBER 2023  |  BANGKOK, THAILAND

Carenation celebrated a significant milestone, having amassed a total donation of 20 million baht. To commemorate this achievement, they organized the "Festive Concerts by Bangkok Charity Orchestra" event and announced a notable transition from solely focusing on the wreath business to becoming a brand that promotes acts of kindness with the new slogan 'Doing Good Made Simple.'

Held on December 10, 2023, at SCBX Next Tech in Siam Paragon, the "Festive Concerts by Bangkok Charity Orchestra" event was attended by over 300 people. All proceeds from the event were directed towards the Integrated Child-Centered Active Learning project (ICAP) run by the Yuvabadhana Foundation, aimed at providing educational toys for children in childcare centers and training caregivers.

During the event, Mr. Parith Rungsimanond, Co-founder, and Mr. Methin Paspanthong, CEO of Carenation (Thailand), outlined Carenation's mission for 2024: to make a more significant positive impact on society.

Parith

Mr. Parith Rungsimanond stated, "Carenation originated from a small idea of wanting to do good every day, with a focus on providing comprehensive assistance across all key aspects, namely community, society, and the environment. It began with the creation of paper wreaths made from recycled paper and paper from FSC-certified materials, which are environmentally friendly, unlike conventional wreaths made from foam and plastics, which are non-degradable waste and pose hazards to ecosystems and wildlife.

Beyond its environmental benefits, Carenation's operations empower underprivileged community members by offering job opportunities and supplemental income. Additionally, 10-40% of the proceeds from each wreath sale is transparently donated to the charitable causes of the customers’ choice. To ensure transparency, customers receive donation receipts for tax deductions with every purchase.

Over the past four years, Carenation has accumulated over 20 million baht in donations and has contributed to 32 charities and hospitals nationwide, including the Chulalongkorn Cancer Hospital Fund, the Thai Red Cross, and the Elephant and Wildlife Research Center, among others."

Methin Paspanthong

To facilitate the spread of kindness, we have developed a range of products and initiatives. These include repurposing traditional funeral mementos into charitable keepsakes, introducing the innovative 'Tree of Opportunity' platform, which leverages interactive technology to enhance donor engagement, and hosting Charity Dinners with Cariber. These Charity dinners offer the public a chance to dine together, exchange ideas, and learn from 10 influential figures in Thailand. As per Carenation's concept, all proceeds are transparently donated towards charitable causes.

We express our sincere gratitude to our loyal customers and partners for their unwavering support. We are committed to extending our efforts and continue to facilitate charitable giving through our slogan of ‘Doing Good Made Simple’.”

Additionally, Mr. Chulayuth Lochotinan, founder and director of the Bangkok Charity Orchestra, expressed gratitude to everyone present, saying, "Congratulations to Carenation on reaching a cumulative donation of 20 million baht. I would like to thank all the guests for their important contribution to the Festive Concerts by Bangkok Charity Orchestra. We are delighted to have been part of this event to give back to society. We hope that what we do will continue to bring happiness and inspiration to everyone, as we work together to create sustainable social impact."
